    Give Your Life a New Twist!

    Away from the main tourist routes lies the 18-hole golf course, opened in 2014, on the beautiful sunny plateau of Westendorf. The youngest golf course in the region, with a total length of 5,882 meters (par 72), impresses especially with its extremely peaceful location and Scandinavian flair.

    The championship golf course, thoughtfully integrated into 64 hectares of natural landscape, was awarded a Four-Star Superior rating by the Federal Golf Course Association in spring 2015. Protected to the north by the imposing Hohe Salve, the flat and easily walkable course offers sporting challenges and unforgettable panoramic views of the Tyrolean mountains.

  • Paragliding

    Enjoy weightless gliding and the fantastic views over the valley. Excellent thermal conditions, the beautiful natural landscape, and the convenient location of the cable car attract many pilots to Westendorf.

    If you are not a professional, you can soar from the top to the valley with a professional pilot on a tandem paraglider – an unforgettable experience. Upon request, the pilot can also offer thrilling acrobatic maneuvers or let you steer the paraglider yourself; no prior experience is needed as a passenger. Paragliding is available in both summer and winter.

    Outdoor Swimming Pool Westendorf
    The outdoor pool complex includes a total of five pools: a paddling pool, a swimming pool, a non-swimmers’ pool, a children’s pool, and a pool with slides. There is a large sunbathing area (partly shaded), a small playground, and a table tennis table for even more summer fun.

    Brixen im Thale Lake and Swimming Pool
    Facilities include a Kneipp bath area, beach volleyball court, children’s playground, poolside restaurant with terrace, kiosk at the lake, sports and swimming pool, adventure pool with giant slide, and children’s pool.

    Swimming lake: until 10:00 PM

  • Canyoning

    Canyoning is the activity of descending a canyon in various ways. By abseiling, climbing, jumping, sliding, swimming, and sometimes even diving, you can navigate through the canyons with the proper equipment.

    Beyond the athletic challenge and sense of adventure, experiencing nature is central. Team spirit and mutual trust play an important role in this sport. Take advantage of the opportunity to admire the flora and fauna that you would otherwise never see.

    Westendorf has gained yet another tourist attraction. Since early July 2013, archers can also “hunt” in Westendorf. More than 40 life-sized foam animals await you on the 3D archery course at Alte Mittel. Across 28 stations, the tournament course offers exciting shots, unique views, and plenty of nature.

    Hiking with Children

    Hiking with the whole family is not about speed or altitude, but about spending quality time together in the mountains. In addition to the mountain adventure worlds, the Brixental also offers trails suitable for strollers and relaxed themed walks. In the valley below, there are playgrounds, a daily changing family and children’s program, and swimming lakes and pools.

    Right in the heart of the hiking paradise of the Kitzbühel Alps!

    The Alps can look sublime and majestic, with rugged, striking rock formations or soft, green grassy peaks. The mountains around the villages of Brixental – Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg, and Westendorf – tend more toward the gentle side of the Alps. Nevertheless, many peaks rise to over 2,400 meters above sea level.

    For hikers, the area offers ideal opportunities with highly varied tours and more than 500 kilometers of signposted and marked trails. The great thing is: everyone finds exactly what they’re looking for. Whether it’s easy, panoramic walks with the support of a cable car, extensive day hikes with summits, or multi-day tours for experienced mountain enthusiasts – the Kitzbühel Alps make every hiker’s heart leap with joy.

    Explore the mountains on horseback.

    Riding lessons are also offered. You can ride year-round at Ellmerershof in Westendorf and Weberhof in Brixen im Thale. In the summer, horseback riding is also available at Haflingerhof in Westendorf.
