  • Skiing in the SkiWelt

Westendorf is a very special location in the SkiWelt. For many years, the ski area between Choralpe and Brechhorn was considered a secret, known only to insiders. Today, Westendorf is one of the most popular resorts in the SkiWelt. It offers many slopes for experienced skiers, the Boarders Playground – one of the most exciting funparks in the SkiWelt – as well as a spacious beginner area in the valley and a large number of slopes for beginners and families. There are also two highlights: one of the longest and the steepest slopes in the SkiWelt. Additionally, Westendorf connects via the Kandler downhill run to the opposite side of the Brixen valley (and the SkiWelt) and via the Ki-West run to the Kirchberg-Kitzbühel ski area (with a regular bus shuttle service).

    Advanced Skiers

For advanced winter sports enthusiasts, the slopes of Westendorf are full of challenges. Courage and skill are essential for tackling the steepest slope in the entire SkiWelt: black piste 112 on the western slope from the Choralpe. With a gradient of 80 percent, this slope is definitely not suitable for beginners. One of the longest and most beautiful slopes also starts from the Choralpe: the Kandler downhill run (no. 11) to Brixen. The many terrain transitions and steep sections require good physical condition. For those who love collecting piste kilometers, Westendorf offers no fewer than four valley descents – each more attractive than the last.

    Beginners

Westendorf also offers numerous opportunities for beginners. Thanks to the large number of ski trails and gentler slopes, inexperienced winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves without stress. Pistes 111 and 113 are easy yet offer beautiful panoramic descents into the valley.

    Families and Children

The practice slope with SkiWelt connection is a beginner’s and children’s ski area right in the village center. This family-friendly environment continues with several easy slopes on the mountain. Westendorf is also an excellent choice for a family winter holiday. A particular highlight is the Laubkogel with its platter lift – here even the smallest skiers can feel big and admire the mountain world from above.
